We had a great time playing the solstice party this weekend, and were pleased to debut some new material. Also, thanks to our special guest, H, who we were happy to have join us!
We played with Shelley Catalan, The Parsnips, and Rusty Nail. Shelley has a beautiful voice, and we're looking forward to catching her whole band sometime. The Parsnips surprised us with some exceptional vocal harmonies in some of their new covers, particularly a Yardbirds tune. They keep getting tighter every time we hear them, and it's evident they're putting a lot of energy into their sound. We missed much of Rusty Nail's set, so we hope to catch them another time. It was a perfect day for an outdoor party, and we enjoyed the food as well. The tofu subs with cilantro rocked! Thanks again to our hosts!
